So I think the only way they'll get out of this hole is to really change up some of their non instance based core gameplay loops.

You get a lot further by having systems that can react to players & provide a varied experience. Repetition of static content is the problem

Baffles me that they are still lagging way behind even Guild Wars 2's pretty weak attempt at that stuff from 2012 lol

I think there are bigger issues here. Zones are so micro managed they offer nothing in terms of exploration and discovery as well.

Would rather have a number of systems operate on top of a zone, such that it is different each time you go there
