I've often thought about how that journey to his planet with Illidan changed Velen a lot. He witnessed for himself that he could decide fate for himself and also that the Naaru themselves could be entirely in the wrong. Really enjoyed those tidbits.pic.twitter.com/N7v4evyDGG

For a someone who saw bits of naaru stories from TBC days witnessing how the new vision of Light phases out old… I'm in 2 minds: on 1 hand, developing it is nice; on the other-lack of presence of naaru like M'uru, willing to go out of their way to help others, feels like a loss.

I always thought Velen's disenchantment with the light was made super clear on Argus. The talk he has with Illadin before they arrive and the talk he has when Illadin stays behind always pointed this way for me.

Is it just me who already considered this a thing? I feel like it was indicated when he told Illidan "our survival was never in fate's hands". Plus, I believe he does say in the quest, after Illidan kills Xe'ra, that what Xe'ra did was wrong. But it's nice with confirmation!

Most people who listened to the dialogue understood it, yeah. It's pretty obvious how Velen feels when you ask him about Xe'ra, so...
