As always, WoW is a game of many parts. With Shadowlands, many are great, a select few (balance / elements of classes) are super ropey. There are glaring covenant problems right now - seriously, the people saying ‘1%’ don’t know what they’re talking about.

I doubt those will be fixed given the tight timeline. Overall it’s looking very good for hyper casual players, okay for core players, and potentially quite a problem for super hardcore. The game should not be designed around the concerns of mythic raiders.

The covenant issues extend down the chain significantly, and will impact regular players who multi-spec or just want choice in the X cool new abilities they have.

“Can X Expansion Save WoW?”. It’s interesting when you dive into if WoW needs saving, the ups & downs of expansions and how Shadowlands is at least set to have wins where they’ve historically counted, just like Legion did. Anyway, I’ll probably get that out within 2 weeks.
