I’ve long suspected that cosmic stuff is of the most interest to youtubers and bloggers, and less so general audiences. Feels like things are baring out that way based on how lore coverage reception has been for the last while.

I guess BFA didn’t take us back to our roots with the factions. It just threw loads of STUFF at us.

they haven't established the cosmic chart to the masses quite yet either, so i get people being not in favor when they havent seen the full picture also when the nostalgia of the old was so good. but they gotta move forward somehow.

It's kind of hard to really have an opinion on the lore when it's being fed to us almost third hand via youtube videos and the like. Like, if you described the plot of Avengers:Endgame, I would say it was stupid, but it feels different actually watching it.

I like the cosmic stuff personally. Makes the world and universe feel bigger.

I think the cosmic stuff works best when it is firmly in the background and mostly there for a bit of flavour. Like, we don't actually need to see how the sausage is made.

The difficult thing with taking any universe and extending it to a cosmic realm is that it’s innately difficult to perceive properly. Blizzard’s challenge from this point on will be finding a way to maintain that sense of scale while keeping the player invested in their actions.

An example: how does one perceive a multiverse as a concept when we are bound to our singular, 3rd dimensional selves? What else do we experience but the singular existence we end up going through How can we conceive of cosmic scale events when we can’t understand large numbers
