Also, unlike Relics of Legion, Conduits are an extra space in the loot table. They won’t take the place if other drops. Seems they’ll be decently common!

its just confusing because they talked about being able to swap them whenever you want, but this system actively punishes you for doing that

"consumable" gear sucks. You either make them a purely numbers thing and force people to sim to see which is best, or you make them affect gameplay/rotations and screw people over who realize they don't like the new one they slotted after their prior one is destroyed

But if they're spec specific, isn't than an issue? Or are they hoping that you'll use a different soulbind for a different spec? ...3 soulsbinds for 3 specs?
-
This was my original question as well. It's still unclear.

The good thing about gems and enchants is that they are only stat sticks that don’t alter the rotation. Being consumed when replaced is not punishing to the player, even less when those can be crafter/traded/bought. They’re losing it.

So if we want to change spec, we'd better change our Soulbind path rather than swap the Conduits(since conduits remain in the same spot when respec soulbind)? Don't know if I like that. k, definitely not.

After watching Preach's video on this, it does appear they want a soulbind per spec as they have assigned conduit types for those roles. Likely you'll lock in your conduits for a soulbind for a spec and won't change it much. Don't see it being an issue.
