Quick update. Got BS going on with my back / neck (seems like a minor compressed nerve or trapezius being messed up). Anyway, fair bit of pain that’s holding me back a bit. Looking to solve this ASAP so I can be more active with video creation, alpha plans & social media.

It’s not sounding like a strain since there wasn’t a mechanism of injury that you can think of. Its kind of sounding like an “active” trigger point, or muscle “knot”. The evidence is mixed as to the best interventions for it. A few things you could try at home: 1/?

One Isn’t often too fun, but simply finding an object (tennis ball, lacrosse ball, some sort of cane - I sometimes use a theracane from amazon -or any object to press on that spot for a couple minutes as tolerated, and then repeat a few times a day.Ahh dang twitters limited chars

I’m sure you are aware of good ergonomics at a desk, but try to have appropriate lumbar support as this helps provide a neutral posture of your upper back and neck (more than just “lumbar support”) 2) If you have other positions besides sleeping on your stomach probably would be

A good idea. So, 1) try applying pressure to the point(s) as much as you can tolerate for a few min, a few times a day 2) Ensure lumbar support (and other desk ergonomic stuff) 3) If you can sleep on your side or your back try that 4) Stretch 5) ...... ok 1 more twitter

5) If you have a foam roll, rolling your upper could help too but I don’t want to get too much into the weeds here. Anyways man these are my suggestions for now, but obviously if things don’t get better go see a physio :).Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
