Quick update. Got BS going on with my back / neck (seems like a minor compressed nerve or trapezius being messed up). Anyway, fair bit of pain that’s holding me back a bit. Looking to solve this ASAP so I can be more active with video creation, alpha plans & social media.

Trigger points ? Or are you having symptoms into your arms/hands ?

None in hands and arms! Which makes me think its the traps. If I lean my head forward & to the right, and just let it hang there, then i get the most pain around my left shoulder blade. So that makes me think its the traps. Though I’m ofc not that knowledgeable on the topic

Ok that’s good. From not seeing it, it sounds like your left levator scapulae is a bit angry but also could be some trap.Head forward and R is a typical stretch for the L levator. If you push around the back of your neck and shoulder,do you find any muscle balled up and sensitive?

Oh thank you!! I’m not super sure what to feel for tbh. The area feels a little tight on both sides (I think likely stress), but there’s no specific area. My posture isnt terrible, but it’s often not ideal. I’m using a posture corrector to help pull back shoulders.

Splurged on a Steelcase Gesture, but COVID has meant no delivery. Generally trying to be less sedentary and stop what I think has really fucked me up... Sleeping on my front. Fairly sure its the worst thing one could do. So, working on preventing that from happening!

Few questions1) do you know if there was an event that caused it or did it just appear after waking up or something ? 2)when you turn your head to either side all of the way does it cause pain ? 3)if you somehow press on that spot that hurts, and turn your head, is the pain less ?

A very similar pain happened around 2 months ago. I was under severe stress (unrelated, but got a quick diagnostic procedure that came back all clear), so I assumed it was stress related. What was odd is that it was on the right side. It went away after around 2 weeks.

So what I have now feels the same, but the pain is localised to the left side, not the right. This wave just appeared one morning a few days ago. It is worst in the mornings & gets better after deep heat, hot shower & stretches. Looking left and right is quite sore in mornings.
