Balance Druid... is interesting. Say, in AOE. You'll want to use Lunar Strike. ...but that'll proc Solar Eclipse. ...you won't want to use Wrath in AOE though. I get part of this spec is elongating the right eclipse via starsurge, but i wonder if itd be good to have (next twt)

Current gameplay is that say, in AOE, ourside of Lunar Eclipse, you want to cast Wrath in order to proc Lunar Eclipse. Once Lunar ends, back to casting wrath as you want to fist for that next LE ASAP. Then spending as much AP as possible for LE extensions.

I think what you may want to refer to is the Thaumathurge/Black Mage in Final Fantasy XIV. While their core gameplay is more like Arcane akin to spending and preserving Mana, they essentially do that by changing "stances" and thus abilities. Though i'm a noob at either so idk

Back when the pendulum existed in wod there was a channeled spell that shifted the pendulum based on how long you channeled it, i forget the name of it but it ended up getting pruned i believe
-
That spell was added because of the pendulum mechanic. With Eclipse Pendulum gone, there was no use for it.

I worry that would remove a key gameplay loop and make you feel punished when that ability was on CD. It might be more satisfying to extend your current eclipse or shorten your current eclipse to quickly get back to the one you want.
