I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet but I'd be careful announcing that random loot is gone and has no replacement. A common strategy in the industry is to remove random elements at first and then reintroduce them later once media isn't paying as much attention.

Sorry if that sounds a bit tinfoil-hat, but it really is a common tactic, and one that other Activision devs have used before. Blizzard themselves have flirted with it--corrupted gear was hyped as the death of TF, only for it to be worse in most ways.

Man, I'm really counting on you to give them the feedback we all need for this game. This looks very promising but there are topics that should be carefully looked at like covenant abilities, soulbinds and maybe even legendaries. When something feels mandatory, choice is dead.
