If something is rushed, its rushed. And that's a fair criticism. Observing that something has become a buzzword is to observe that many people a using the criticism where it isn't necessarily relevant. No one is telling you you cant say something is rushed if it is.

And brother, I don't know if you've been following our work closely this last year, but when it comes to criticising corporate shareholder culture... you're preaching to the fucking choir here (can I get a comrade Tali emote pls)

I know - it seems like you're going against your values - as I said, was talking about the post layoff stuff that (i assumed) most of us have heard. A bit more specificity would have been nice, a bunch of people are reading into what you said as a direct criticism of us.

Hey Michael, I don't know what TaliEvi were referring to specifically, but I will say that, with all the live I have in my heart for you and your work (and it is plentiful, I say this because I care
), the click bate-eyness of your vids have made them hard to watch.

I'm sure even you will admit that you took a turn about a year ago maybe and every other video is incredibly "angry YouTube" / SEO driven, and I feel that this contributes to the inaccuracy / conspiracy / general anger that TaliEvi are evoking here. (cont)

So again I don't know / don't think they are talking about you, but I do feel, again with all the respect I have for you, that you have demonstrated that attitude of late, so it is difficult to take that criticism at face value. (cont)

Sorry if that sounds harsh, just trying to be honest with how I feel about it. PS: And just to say it, I've also been advocating for unionization; I think it is important to creating balance and helping with issues devs/others are facing. I'm not just about protecting The Man.

Well, of the last month's videos 2 are overtly critical. The patch review is a mixed recommendation. For the two more negative ones, I think it's fair given the quality of the product Blizzard were asking money in return for. Before that, we released 3 v low performing guides.

and before that, the vast majority of the channels content is lore & the vanilla history series. Perhaps because YT pushes those topics less, you haven't seen them, and therefore don't have a full picture of the channels content.

I've always been consistently honest with coverage. I'll praise Blizzard's successes, and criticise their failings. I don't think what you said is in line with the totality of my output.

For titles, I think the most recent one is very fair. If it were big bait, you'd see a lot of downsides. I believe AB's influence is killing Blizzard dev's ability to ship the game they want to, and I've heard enough to have a high enough confidence to make it the core of a vid.

So in this case, the thesis of the video is quite literally the title. Is it clickable? Absolutely, won't deny that. Is it lying about the content, or exaggerating? I don't think so at all. Personally, I can't wait for the changes at the end of this vid to be implemented.
