It’s not the wow engine that’s the issue. Blizzard literally said (I believe last BlizzCon) they’re done by programmers, not animators. The issue isn’t the engine it’s the people making the cutscenes.

What would they animate? If they could actually animate new stuff it wouldn't be in game cinematic.

Yeah, I mean the defeat of an end of expansion boss like this, turned into a simple in-game cinematic? That's pretty big disrespect to over 10.000 years of plotting. Sargeras got better representation.

Somehow FFXIV can do the cut scenes but there is a lot more movement in their models in game. Wow needs to stop with it - ruins emersion imo.

Its just crazy to think that blizz is using the same base engine they made many years. Just imagine using the unreal engine.

Yeah but when that was discussed on the forums people complained that it was 'too real' and not true to the 'cartoon WoW style'.
