Im wondering if the delay was just processing or due to the backlash they received over not banning them.

In some way, this would be ok-ish, if it would have happened earlier.

the phrase "to close the stable door after the horse has bolted" seems pretty apt here

While it can be seen as equal treatment, to me this screams more of, "oh crap were getting shit over not banning them. So lets ban them"

That's exactly what has happened here.

I'm curious how many teams will risk their 5-6 digit Blizzcon earnings just to prove a point.

It’s good that they went through with the ban but in terms of consistent use of their tournament rules they should have been quick on this. They got and will likely continue to get backlash due to this. If they’re going to have rules on this it must be upheld equally.

It's not really good since this was entirely symbolic. Usually when you do something symbolic, it need to have some kind of impact. This doesn't even leave a scuff mark.

um.....the team dropped out from the season......? this is a little awkward.

They banned them for 6 months after they request multiple times for fair treatment and for the rules to be enforced to all players. Happy to see both sides are willing to work together, the players wishing for fairness and Blizzard actually saying "Yeah alright".
