Further thoughts: I think this just comes down to Blizzard not writing a game. The Battle for Azeroth primarily exists in transmedia narrative, with the game at best paying lipservice. The quality of the CGs, music, direction, acting etc is covering for reeeal basic writing.

I would love Blizzard to allocate less resources on making single player stories about saving bees in Stormsong. It’s such a waste. Focus on bigger zones, epic worldbuilding and other things that contribute to the impression of being thrown into huge world.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to assume some quest made in a zone affects the patch content. Plus, what you may find unenjoyable doesn't translate to everybody else. It's like we're back at the 'RIP Raid Tier' stuff again, that even Blizz joked about

Blizzcon better have some major stuff because I agree. 30 minutes is really not much at all and I don’t what where we are going. The flow is just off even if it does end up good at the end.

Ya, contentwise, don't get me started, it's a mess and it's been for some time, I agree. But that's more about gameplay issues, so you're the boss there

Will be honest
@BellularGaming after going through BFA I still dont feel like we have been in a "war". The story doesn't unfold in a way that captures what is meant to be going on. Characters lack substance and they feel hollow in their choices. I still don't understand Sylvannas -
and the direction she has taken. I don't feel like the expansion has explained her motives very well at all. It feels like at this stage, this late stage in BFA that we lack important knowledge and story development to wrap this expansion up and get a sence of closure.

I'd rather they had just launched 8.2.5 without the War Campaign at the start and given us it at a later date and potentially with more content. This doesn't scream we've had at least 3 months to work on this. Makes me wonder how big 8.3 is and how big 9.0 will be.

When did they deliver any outstanding mid-xpac storylines?
-
Idk but I think blizzard should at least copy somethings ffxiv in terms of content patches
