I agree if they they drop 8.3 and head towards 9.0 I will come back to check it out. However if I have to wait a year plus for BFA to end I may just be done for good

Nah, final patch will be a "patching" for both sides to confront a major menace. Its pandaria 2.0 all over again.

hard to say, even harder to say what's better. Yeah it means BFA will be a drag and a failure like WoD in the end, but if they put the effort into the next expac like they did with Legion, at least THAT will have value. So? I don't know what's better.
-
Let’s face it BFA is a complete failure at this point. Why keep beating a dead horse?

Normally I'd say let's do 8.3, but in this case I'm hoping it's a focus to 9.0 with a bunch of story in 8.2.5. Have a feeling it'll be 8.3 tho.

Tinfoil hat theory: 8.3 will be the Dragon Isles, infested by N'Zoth. Question will be is it his full body, or just a portion--and if full body, does that mean Azshara will rise as Queen of 9.0 Black Empire? Either way, Argus-esque expansion.
-
Nope expansion content but good try

It’d be interesting to see the story wrap up in 8.2.5 and then have 8.3 be like an epilogue/prologue leading straight into 9.0.

But is there any evidence that an 8.3 was ever planned? Is there any evidence that supports the notion that the "final patch" is being cut?
-
There was a quote of Ion that said that after we defeat Azshara we would know the final boss of bfa. Think that would imply an 8.3 was at least planned.
