Some lore fun, based on Chronicle 1, I think we can think of the Shadowlands as essentially being like the Higgs Field, but death. That explains Chronicles description of "spanning the universe" and "tangentially linked to Azeroth"

I don't get how the gnome/goblin guy is supposed to build a way to go between. We're dead, so to start they shouldn't know we exist there and more so it opens up the path to bring everyone back because what would be the reason to say that couldn't happen? It's a bit weird.. 1/2

Plus would be cooler if we had zero contact with the 'living' world the whole expansion, and get conveniently (or not?) revived at the end of the expansion and see the aftermath of us being dead - hopefully for years - and why they had to find a way to revive us. 2/2
