DICE, this whole erasing the Nazis from your WW2 game is some whack shit. Like shit, this is playing into the wild Manstein & co historical revisionism of that war. WILD. Cowards.https://twitter.com/austin_walker/status/1136301693329715200 …

Well said Mike.
Fanaticism, fandom, loyalty, patriotism, are all exceptionally dangerous when unchecked. It's the biggest lesson of WWII in my opinion.
if you don't want swastikas in your video game, don't make your game based in WWII era Europe...this isn't hard...it wasn't that long ago the WWII shooter genre was old and tired anyway
Willing ignorance like this is one way history repeats itself.
careful, Michael. today it's not the day to talk about controversy on YouTube
Even the perceived hero’s that ended the war, USA/Russia, that saved everyone’s ass committed atrocities. A lot of that gets washed away with rose tinted glasses.
To paraphrase an old harry Enfield sketch, "zere vas no German history between ze years 1941 to 1945"
You guys act like the allies were noble saviours, we could go into detail but that would be quite grim, and its not appropriate.
If you think that portraying Soviets is ok, but the Wehrmacht from WW2 isn't, because one committed atrocities and one didn't, then I'm not sure what to say.
I think dice is making huge mistakes regarding BFV. The game is based on WW2 but doesnt have any Nazi symbols? I've just completed my bachelor thesis about ww2 and while reading up on the material i realised how important it is to know history. 1/2
2/2 You have to know your history to learn from it. In other words you have to understand and realise that there are symbols connected to the history of ww2. I see kids and teenages these days that barely know how bad the second world war realy was.
