Not that I make that a part of videos of course

With all the layoff news, there's been a pretty sudden shift in gamer opinion toward being pro-union/pro-regulation and such. Much more lefty on this particular issue, not necessarily overall. When people say gamers are right-wing they mostly mean social issues.

Yeah I find that pretty interesting. At least from my erm idealistically libertarian but not deluded enough to actually think it’s flawless point of view. I guess it feels pretty per issue / reactionary

It's definitely a weird cognitive dissonance to see gamers complain about "snowflakes" and "SJWs" in one breath, while saying that game devs need to unionize in another. It's almost like Gamergate brainwashed millions into political positions they never actually thought through.

Odd thing with GG was that r/KIA polling continually had people self reporting to the left... It’s an odd one - rather hard to tackle well without getting hit from all sides. A big ol’ mix of people imo. Ah pre 2014, what a simple time.

Lol, I take political self-reporting with a heavy, massive grain of salt when people like Sargon and Dave Rubin exist and call themselves left-wing. The Nazis called themselves Socialists too.

That ones interesting - I’d imagine they’re both pretty left wing socially (at least regarding abortion, homosexual marriage etc). I suppose anti PC being mixed in with other political stances is interesting. Hard to know where Rubin is. I grew tired of his prancing about.

Sorry mate but they're really not left wing if you get past even the most basic surface level. I mean Rubin is funded by the Koch brothers and Sargon joined UKIP ffs. One good opinion about healthcare/gay marriage does not make someone left wing.

Inaccurate use of left from me there, centre / mixed is perhaps more on the money. I've zero idea where Sargon is fiscally, socially he seems to be a mix? And Rubin... I'd rather see left & right hash it out (ie Weinsteins / Shapiro) than him just agree with safe guests all day.

The problem with Rubin is he doesn't "hash", he just enables. He will bring someone like CERNOVICH on and just ask them questions, and maybe *mildly* disagree about some stuff. The right literally calls him a "useful idiot" to his face, because that's what he is.

I think he's probably lost a bunch of the types of people that traditionally would have been with him because of that. Hiding behind doing the Larry King style just doesn't hold water.

He is just trying to make as much money as possible from oil families and from IDW egelord fanboys. He sold out, not even worth discussing.
