It is impossible not to admire the amount of work and dedication he puts into his videos. I suspect most of these angry people don't watch them. Still, as he says it himself, the titles & thumbs are pretty outrageously clickbaity... I think it's fair to be bothered by that.

We say it all the time but we don't CHOOSE to not approach our channel that way, we just CAN'T. We literally don't have the ability. There's a reason we haven't looked at our analytics in 2 years, that shit is too much like a real job -

Somewhat unrelated but I think the issue there might be the kind of community you build: long term, you get people who react emotionally and angrily (trolls?), and that can become tough to handle. It's happened to a lot of good people. Burnouts and depression and such...

But you seem to be very aware and in control of what you're doing, so I'm not overly worried. Also, the content is not as aligned with the "marketing" as it often is for those others (your comparison with Linus is very apt), so the situation is different...
