But yeah, what you mentioned isn’t much of a factor, 8.2 stuff does seem to be hitting a smaller audience and, most importantly, not be expanding past the most core audience.

Not a great comparison - average channel performance was around half of current due to me being terrible at marketing

7.2 ptr was the lowest views on our channel that whole year, much lower than now. In a conversation about video views, video frequency, saturation and the de-valuing of a products worth via mass-marketing are totally relevant topics. Also your views are stellar fuck off ;)

Ah but you were but wee 55k laddies back then :P So our typical strat for high general interest scenarios is to create lots of bespoke content for each interest area, hittting each niche asap. Usually we far more than make up the inefficiencies of multiple per day

Yeah but I'm comparing it to our other views at the time, and 7.2 vids were relatively very low. You used the term, "across the board" so it's relevant to point out that apparently that particular board doesn't include us rn is all :)

Yeah - 7.2 was quite the time, didn’t have much ‘wow’ content to it. I think 8.1 / 7.3 are probably closer - being real, 8.2 is going to be so much better than 7.2.

I think 8.2 should be doing significantly better than it is considering the siege and seeming quality of the patch - it might take a few weeks of people hearing about it to have that sink in though

But you got well over 500k views on your 8.2 vids last week. I'm surprised that you don't consider the high volume of vids you put out in that time to be a factor for less hits on individual titles. Saturation is totally a thing.

It's worth keeping in mind that, in the eye of The Algorithm, you are not created equals. Saturation isn't a thing as far as YouTube's algorithm is concerned. The way Mike's "flood" content can be pushed to consumers will be different to how, e.g. Weekly Reset will be pushed.

Yeah, that’s very much the case.
