Big video on the second channel tomorrow... We’re going to knock out the difficulty debate. I wouldn’t tell Banksy to paint a different painting. Be it Sekiro or a ‘Walking Sim’, I’m 100% for the uncompromised creative vision of developers.

rewritten for whom? For the singular player experiencing it the way they want? Enjoyment is the last stop. If someone needs to cheat to get there, so be it. The only 'wrong' way to enjoy a game is by actively denying other peoples enjoyment.
-
Cheats / hacks are besides the point, coming in after release, and therefore aren't really within the bounds of the core discussion. People are free to do what they will

People don't want to remove or change Sekiro's normal mode though. They want more options that make the game more accessible to more people. The equivalent to that wouldn't be to rewrite the book. It would be things like a braille version or an audio book.

That’s up the the developer, and much of the discussion isn’t about disability related accessibility. I commend devs for adding in disability controller support etc.

But books are inherently accessible, many people can't play a lot for games because of their disabilities, why gatekeep them from enjoying games?

You are indulging in a logical fallacy here. Again, read some literary criticism and theory or some philosophy of art before trying to make this comparison. And yes, literature is constantly rewritten and reinterpreted. You aren't defending creative vision.

Sekiro 2: uninstalls itself and disappears from your steam library upon playing. I'm saying all this being well read on that - it is something that's on my mind. Feedback and entitlement are different, the latter is the target.
