...The Fire Bobby Kotick movement just seems like politically expedient emotional pandering. Very little objective coverage on it. I doubt the AB board would fire him for delivering strong results and kicking off a reorganisation that’s focused on delivering more product.

Laying off a substantial amount of employees is not the first measure any good exec would want to take. People can discuss if it was necessary after reading up on the reasoning for it, but unfortunately people form lynch mobs after only reading the headline...

Getting people fired over differing opinions or controversial decisions is something that a certain set of individuals often like to try. Taking their narrative to the "Twitter court", crossing fingers that the public will back them... that's disgusting, no matter who's targeted.

What people do not understand that even if by some miracle Bobby will be kicked out, Someone will need to replace him, someone with similar experience and fincancial knowlage. And this someone most likely be picked by investors so in the end we either change nothing or get worse.

This happens every day and is just business. Several developers came forward with job offers after this layoff and at least these people got severance and such. Ever been laid off with no severance no continued insurance and a newborn? I have, this was considerate at least
