I think there's a lot of selective emphasis in those discussions; Schreier's article clearly point out devs are hiring, which is a positive sign. And with no releases, reducing support staff makes sense, & doing it with cash incentives rather than layoffs is really positive too.
Sloppy from a business pov, as in it would have been better if that didn’t happen. Agree that it’s good to see them not rush something out. Cancelling D3 X2 does seem to have been a bad call though.

Easy to call in hindsight. RoS was a huge success, but it was reasonable to think "we'll start fresh". And again, I don't mean to keep getting back to that, but if they had pushed to release something, THAT would have been the business / evil Acti decision. People don't get that.
