2/2 they want it scrapped and anything any Blizz guy says that isn't "We're scrapping it" will be torn apart. People are tearing Lore apart for AGREEING that re-farming traits and constantly reforging gear is not fun.

Large reworks aren't beyond the scope of a major patch - I think it's a false premise that we're locked into everything in it's current form for 2 years. Plenty of games have implemented large system overhauls and found great success.

Who has been saying we are locked into everything in it's current form for two years though? No one at all. And imo Azerite Armor clearly doesn't need a massive overhaul anyway - like I say pretty much everyone (inc Blizz) agree what the problems are and the fixes seem obvious

For my two cents, I totally understand why they want xpack level progression. I'd rather the HoA basically had unlockable and that you could pick a few of them - a little like War Mode talents. Add new ones to the roster, have em scale with HoA ilvl.

So basically like Glyphs V2, but on your HoA. Then just leave the gear out of it and have regular heads/shoulders/chests. Perhaps there'd be room for sets there also. Just seems like a cleaner solution than the relatively complex Azerite situation.

You see, I think that's a horrible idea Bel
And that's the problem when Blizz "Don't listen to the community"... what people usually mean is, "They are not doing the thing I want". That's a valid reason to not like a game too of course, but let's call a spade a spade :)6 replies 0 retweets 21 likes -
That's not true at all - it's about acknowledging the reason behind what people feel. That post went down so badly not because it wasn't a refutation of Azerite, but because it didn't engage with the substance of peoples disagreements.

Lore literally agreed with two of the points and got torn apart for agreeing with them. That says to me that the community doesn't care as much about Blizz "Engaging with the substance of their disagreements" as much as people say.

So I really don't think he got torn apart for agreeing with people at all - though it would be easy to conflate that with people calling out the bad form displayed in the quip and conflation. It's easy to bundle it all in, but I think that removes all the important substance

Oh stop. No one really gives a shit about his "Bad form". It's like when when Rome "players" pretend they were upset by how their CM was rude to them. No one cares, they are just angry and want to jump on everything he says. He agreed with stuff and still got flamed for agreeing.

I guess I'd just caution against casting off vast swathes of people like that. Sometimes someones shitty speech can be inspired by something that's worth listening in to and understanding.

As a casual who had to take Legion off due to technical difficulties, I really don't mind the Azerite, its just a way to make you feel like you have a goal at max and its better than what I heard about artifacts. Just maybe more options on each piece so no farm needed?
