So in a world where Frostpunk, God of War, Uncharted, (million other games) exist, why on earth would I want to do grind world quests, or Expeditions, past the point where they feel old.

Why indeed? The idea that 80% of WoW is unfun is strange statement. If you spend 80% of your time repeating a task you don't need to on any game that would be the case. Like, Spiderman is 80% unfun if I spend 80% of it jumping on the spot, right?

80% by time spent, for players to maximally engage in all it's content. I genuinely think that WoW has very weak endgame world content, middling questing & that two of BfA's major additions, Expeditions & Warfronts, are pretty middling. I do however, still enjoy playing WoW...

...why? Well here's a line from my notes: "I don’t care about the progression systems at all. I hang out with friends, knock out some mythics or light arena. I don’t play WoW for a large number of hours a week, but it’s a meaningful and valuable part of my gaming diet."

I think that people are very susceptible to being damaged by systems without nothing, and my goal is to reinforce that you can minimise the weaker parts of WoW, focus on the best bits (socials!) and free up more from for a varied gaming life.

without noticing* As in people feel stuck in a rut due to a system, but because they are within that system, they don't have the perspective to see it.

I wonder how all you guys made it through the first weeks of Legion.

Same as with Battle for Azeroth on my end - I didn't feel pressured to grind out Artifact Power, so I pretty much did content as it pleased me. If I was in a guild that placed unreasonable demands, then I would have left it.

nothing to do with unreasonable demands, it's simply required to do the content you want to do

Fair - that’s a blind spot for me in recent years. Most of my organised progression raid gameplay comes from Mop, Cata & Wrath.

Personal progression systems that matter and are fun? Overrated. MAU-maintenance is where it's at.pic.twitter.com/ak72w3hFaU
