Keen to hear your thoughts. Battle for Azeroth levelling? What do you think, and are you Alliance or Horde?

Horde, Vol'dun finished only, world feels less cohesive and more fragmented than Legion but this results in a world that feels lived-in and alive rather than a single fly-ride through a single story. Happy to be a chill Adventurer again.

Yeah... I'm feeling remarkably apathetic to it, and I can't really put my finger on why, which is frustrating me lol.

My mate
@Psiethyr said exactly the same thing. We chocked it up to maybe being too separated from the Alliance presence. Kind of a big issue if you're trying to hype a war expansion...1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Yeah, it feels like the low budget mid-season after the explosive series pilot. In terms of being a slower pace that steps back from it's establishing beats.

Partly that's okay, you can't let drama creep occur, you'll end up burning your story out with explosive beat after beat. So those pay-offs start meaning less and less.

Oh absolutely. It could be that it is a calming down of stakes that also is less relevant to the opening. So it's losing engagement on two fronts. I think a little more faction war during the quests would have been good.

I mean I view the war campaign stuff kinda like it's own mini zone while leveling. I've made it to 115 until last night decided I was ready for some war story

But the flow is broken by needing to specifically pick your war campaign zones. A better approach might have been to interweave the two continent narratives to create some actual tension and interplay.

Yeah. I've hit 120 now and feel pretty tired of it. Didn't help that Zandalar Forever bugged out hard at the end twice and then I did 2 WQs that were full of bugs and logged out to play Rome 2 as a pallette cleanser. That + my character feeling really rubbish has be soured

That'll evaporate once I get a bit of gear and start doing the content I enjoy though. It just seems that I've had a perfect storm of lots of small mildly annoying things on top of me being mixed on their story.
