That's how I'm imagining it as well. Though I think Anduin's moral high ground is what lost Lordaeron for the Alliance. I'm imagining that Anduin will make a similar mistake again and fail to put an end to the Horde because of his honor, Horde retaliates hard etc.

The people get mad about the war continuing, Anduin is forced to hand the reins of the Alliance over to Jaina for the time being and both factions just go nuts.

Would totally love to see the same, though I don't think it is that black and white. For me I look at Sylv as her own entity of "survival of the fittest, honor be damned". I don't think it is Garrosh 2.0 but I don't think her and the Horde are aligned.

Maybe third faction for Forsaken
@TaliesinEvitel did a cool video on that and it makes a lot of sense and would be a really cool direction.

Before the Storm book shows that Anduin is green and a bit of an idealist. He places faith that his people could have peace with traditional enemies. He’s not a perfect leader and part of that has led up to this.

The alliance have lost twice now (arguably), I would love to see Anduin forced to do something shady just to put a win on their belt.

I'd like for Anduin to make a good decision that's not likeable or a likeable decision that's just not good. And to get into challenging terrain in the first place.

I think people actually LIKING the direction of the story are the ones getting the most shit at this point tbh. I think both sides have their bad apples but I'm enjoying all the opinions. I like the story but Michael (and Nobbel) have been bringing up good points.
