There is potential for a good narrative here, but I’m beginning to think it isn’t a good MMO narrative as it doesn’t account for players. Might research how GW2 and FF14 handle their storylines. Most community discussion is moot as horde players can’t Saurfang it up in BfA.

That’s the problem with trans media narratives. We’re all sitting here talking about stuff that’s interesting, but what’s in game is far more simplistic and with next to none of the player expressing that’s hyping up the online discussion.

Every year I hope that WoW will finally be confident enough in its storytelling to do it all in-game, with consistent style & writing. As much as I love all the out-of-game stuff, it's all just non-canon vignettes of a story I'm supposed to be experiencing elsewhere
