There is potential for a good narrative here, but I’m beginning to think it isn’t a good MMO narrative as it doesn’t account for players. Might research how GW2 and FF14 handle their storylines. Most community discussion is moot as horde players can’t Saurfang it up in BfA.

We are the small percentage of enthusiasts. We’re pretty much the only people who get anything out of this. I’d worry that average players will encounter many of the downsides, and not have them tempered but the various points raised here.

Because of Sylvannas' actions, Saurfang is effectively going to defect and help the alliance. I wish characters could do the same without just giving up on their character and race changing. if I disagree with Sylvannas, I should be able to defect too.

I do disagree with
@Warcraft 's use of Novels and books to push the story. Paying a monthly fee for a game should give us the full story. The outside books /etc should maybe accent that or just be stand alones. Not have bulk of the "why and who" of the story.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is such a solid observation.

Every year I hope that WoW will finally be confident enough in its storytelling to do it all in-game, with consistent style & writing. As much as I love all the out-of-game stuff, it's all just non-canon vignettes of a story I'm supposed to be experiencing elsewhere

Rt’ing because damn, you put that perfectly. Wholeheartedly agree. Mists of Pandaria probably did that best? Could be fuzzy memory though.
