Not liking the direction of a narrative because of a personal investment you have in it is not the same as a narrative being badly conceived or written. If the point was to make you go, "What? NO! Fuck you Sylvanas!" then it's done it well imo.

Maybe they're fixing the horde/alliance imbalance by making all horde races excluding forsaken join the alliance

At this point my character is more like "screw this I'm going away to live on a farm in Nagrand"

Especially because that personal investment was shaped by the way Blizzard framed the narrative in the first place.

Agreed. Because we were already there, and the dev team was like, "hold off judgement until you have all the facts," and the rest of the facts were "it's so much worse." It's misleading. The devs literally fostered a hope only to crush it.

Haha like in the video

Small words, from a small being trying to comprehend what it can't understand... "Blizzard is lazy, they made Sylvanus Garrosh 2.0... Boo hoo..." SHE WAS TWISTED BY ARTHAS AND DOESN'T DENY SHE'S WAGING WAR ON THE LIVING!!!pic.twitter.com/8GF6dBVsIR

I think I see where the narrative is heading with Sylvanas, and if it does go in that direction( rather than redemption or Garrosh 2.0) I will be super happy and excited for the writing team.

"People's criticism" is very a very broad term. Some people's criticism is like yours - informed and measured. Some other people's criticism, "Fuck everyone who works at Blizzard fire them muh horde".
