...I bring this up because a large scale strategic war is the central premise of Battle for Azeroth. When actions don't make sense, it takes away from that feeling of all our war and instead pulls us into a far smaller, and in this case, less interesting story.

The other problem is that with this analogy the US did that to end the war and avoid a costly invasion of Japan. Sylvanas doing this will only bring down the full force of the Alliance upon Silvermoon and Lordaeron, causing further death and destruction. Enemy of life indeed.
