I think I feel the lack of Russel Brower, and continue to not really like how bombastic they go sometimes - feels overly 'big' and cluttered.

The classic Call To Arms theme is much more subtle (and Freehold-y) than usual, to the extent that just where you are expecting it to kick in properly it goes into Anduin's theme and then quickly into Sylvanas. It's a statement, and I like it

Alright so I think the core of it is basically the same as my general gripes with how WoW's music has evolved over time. It's also something I think we see a lot in the industry. So, time goes on, budgets get larger, people can afford tremendous orchestras.

I'm still waiting for the part that screams WOW THEME to kick in right at the start.

It strikes me as a less crescendoed version of "Mars" by Holst which then abruptly realizes it's a WoW game and shoehorns in snippets of the WoW theme before descending into a tortured Pirates of the Caribbean inspired riff...

I swear, that music didn’t even feel like WoW. The only part I really love is Nazmir music, but as a zone music. I dig different themes, for different zones,I enjoyed sooo many of them in Legion, but everything I heard so far from BFA sounds nothing like WoW. Not in a good way.
