In 1833 the British Govt borrowed £millions to buy the freedom for slaves. A debt that was finally paid off in 2015, paid by the UK taxpayer, we have paid our dues, if any were owed at all.

Its not a popular view (Ive discovered) but...I genuinely think we need to remember 400yrs of Slavery in the same way as we do the Holocaust, at least we should try to, with real life stories where possible

Really well said! We need to start telling the truth about colonialism and the British Empire. Until we do, we won't solve the problems we're having now. We still act like the world owes us a favour, when it's the other way around.

Why only the british empire ,why not roman,greek,Egyptian, china, mongol and so on
