    A3 The good news is that while fraud scams have evolved so has technology and education! Investigators and fraud executives have improved ways to use data and analytics to assist in the monitoring and visualization.

    A1: Late one, but it just came to mind: Courier scams. Pretending to be DHL or UPS etc. 'We shipped your package, click here to follow it'. Also Covid related... more online purchases, more courier shipments. The scammers were quick to react to the trend.

    I wonder though if 'personalization' is worth the effort. In some (bigger) cases it might be, but otherwise most scammers go for the 'mass' phishing or smishing approach I think. You only need a small % to fall into the trap to make it worthwhile...

    A2 Scams are much more personal - they know more than just our names, the downside of is all of the information fraudsters can collect about us, thus making us more likely to think they really are an authentic contact.

    A1: I don’t know if it’s the same across the globe, but in my part of the world (Belgium / Netherlands) text message scams have grown immensely. I’m almost getting one every day; “You’ve paid too much” or “You need to pay this bill” – “Click here”.

    Q1: What emerging fraud scams over the last year pose the most risk to consumers, small business, companies?
