Most of the time, if I'm saying something that sounds smart, I am paraphrasing or summarising someone much smarter than me.

There’s nothing wrong with hat so long as you attempt to understand the underlying concepts and foundations of the knowledge you’re paraphrasing. Most people think that spouting random knowledge makes them smart, when in fat it proves the opposite.
