Soybeans can be dried up and turned into hulls and they can last for a year or two. She doesn't even have to sell at a loss, she can just wait for the price to go up again

Yup. All kinds of options, apparently not discussed. Her Dad left her the farm, never bothered to tell her how to run it and she can't even be bothered hiring an administrator to help her out. Let's just get mad at the president because she missed out on government cheese.

My soybeans were called above my asking price and had to be stored for 12 days. This lady never bothered to learn about futures, co-ops, or insurance. You can literally hire someone who knows their stuff or learn it for free from your local farm bureau or ag extension. Wtf.

Just got a farm and expected it to me a zero effort magical money machine.

Honestly she’d be better off just selling the damn thing. Though she would probably be easily gaslighted by a real farmer or developer into selling it cheap. ”Yeah, your clay content is too high and the nitrogen is whack so you gotta sell it to me for uhhh 1100 an acre. Deal?”
