    What’s the mood amongst who were planning to travel to USA 4 gig/work either side of now ? I was planning to travel from Melbourne with my band. Now revising that plan - maybe a scaled back trip. Keen to hear others’ thoughts?

    should clarify, I'm gutted for everyone. The economics of promoting shows and festivals are based on really tight margins and it's going to be hard to get insurance to cover expenses on the organiser side too. It's tragic.

    FWIW many artists have to advance a great deal of costs to make tours happen, and usually you buy insurance to cover many potential bad scenarios. Sadly there *isn't pandemic insurance* - this risks putting a lot of artists in a massive hole.

    Coming from someone potentially about to incur significant losses this year from canceled tours - now would be a *great* time to spend $5-10 on that new record you like. Gutted for artists who have been planning new releases for the coming months.

    Once I wade through travel insurance, arts grant conditions & flight policies I will have questions <3 !

    Artist friends touring around SXSW: the community is rallying to figure out ways to help if you’re already en route/don’t know what to do. Can’t promise anything but I’ll do my best to help. I’ll be working tomorrow so please write me on my work email (not here) with your needs.

    So we hadn’t even announced this yet - our first ever SXSW party, with a bunch of friends. Seems a shame to let this poster go to waste - would have been fun 🦠🦠🦠
