Obviously this is a problem on a much larger level (as anyone who's tried to buy a home in the last year knows) but man it sucks that kids don't get the experience of walking into a store and grabbing a pack of cards off the shelf

From what I’ve heard, COVID led to printers being shut down for a couple of months and they haven’t caught up. Supply was low before the demand picked up.

A lot of people buying these cards are youtubers, opening them in unboxing videos because the jackass who filmed the corpse of a suicide victim made pokemon pack unboxings trendy.
