My channel is going to be killed in March. I stopped posting regularly in March 2017 due to health problems and art block - meaning my total hours will drop in March 2018 - BELOW the requirements. Meaning? Dead channel. I'm devastated. 12 years I've been on YouTube.

I thought I was okay, but then looked back over the year, by the end of March, I'll be well below the requirement. That's when I planned to start again, when I was all set up in my new home. Once you lose the partnership, I doubt we'll get it back... That's my art channel over.

I doubt it, judging by the turmoil of people struggling to get their partnerships approved even before today, it seems such an arduous process. I believe this is the first of many waves to come. Currently 4000/1000, in a year it will be higher. It's to get rid of people like us.

There are too many creators earning from Adsense, this could be a way of generating more money for those who still benefit from adverts. That's a positive (and negative depending on who you are). Less spam accounts profiting. That's about it for positives...

I agree (apart from spam accounts, they do not deserve to profit from other people's content they upload). Regular REAL people deserve to earn just as those with bigger numbers. x
