What's the time lag for the second interview? Most of the Canadian interviewees I've known, even when stellar, have not gotten that far.

My understanding is a big part of it is demonstrating an ability to think on your feet. Lots of back and forth and challenging questions, but getting it 'right' not as important

A bit late to the game but connect with
@emmabluemke - stellar undergrad from Western who is now at Oxford -
I don't know how it compares to Canadian interviews, but it was approx 50% maths q's (Fourier) (on the spot, then hold up your answer over the Skype video), 30% technical q's (about previous research) & the rest was friendly chat. They were lovely.
