Hey #PhDChat and #AcademicTwitter how many publications does your PI/program require or do you require of your students in order to have “done enough” to defend?
I know each specific case is different and this isn’t a great metric, but I’m genuinely curious at the spread.

Even within my sub-area it depends on what the student is doing. Are they ime & resource-intensive fMRIor clinical studies? Do they require large sample sizes to examine individual differences? Or are they series of smaller within-subject designs w behavioural or EEG measures?
