If sanitation, clean drinking water & nutrition were responsible for reducing infectious disease incidence, you'd expect all pathogens to be knocked out in the same year. But no. Each disease starts to reduce JUST after its specific vaccine comes along. Amazing coincidence!

I interpret that differently: Vaccines rode in on the coattails of nature and created autoimmune disease and chronic illnesses in place of benign infections. Natural immunity had already been established through widespread exposure.

A colleague - who’s had the MMR - now has measles. She’s been told the vaccine doesn’t work in 3% of cases. Basically the vaccine just doesn’t work

So, you're saying the measles vaccine is only 97% successful, then? I scored 97% in high school biology. I was ecstatic. 97% is a fantastic result in anyone's language! Anyone except anti-vaxxers, apparently. For them, it seems 97% may as well be 0%.pic.twitter.com/KgDsnyilqP

in up to 3 out if every 100 people. that’s the definition of a highly effective vaccine. NO vaccine is 100% effective.

Plus if she’s your age she probably only had one shot. Since 1990’ the recommendation is two MMR vaccinations for maximum efficacy.

If a vaccine has 97% efficacy and 95% of the population gets the vaccine & creates strong #herdimmunity, you’ve got an effective rate of 99+%. Here’s a little video for you. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/article/herd-immunity/ … #EpidemiologyRocks #CommunityImmunity
