If you don't mind me asking, what is your go-to technique? I assume it's a whole lot of very careful mask-tool followed up with an inflate brush, but I'm also kind of hot garbage at characters.

It has been a bit of trial and error and a try at a few different things, but mostly some sort of masking yeah :P. For example for these Jetpack parts I started with a cube, masked out the shape I wanted and then used the "Extract" tool to get the main shape like so -pic.twitter.com/t54tLtQ65Y
