That's not the point they were making. If it was a local business they dont have the overhead to make up for those losses

And my point is this whole conversation isn’t about local businesses

But their implication was asking about local corner stores

The main discussion was about large chain stores like Walgreens. You guys a have to resort to whataboutism to try to invalidate the person's point regarding large corporate chain stores.

He literally started with the words "what about" steering away from the topic of corporate store chains like Walgreens.

But ok.https://twitter.com/earlkralik/status/1404892566177431556?s=19 …Allen added,

Discussion wasn't only limited to corporations that's why they mentioned small businesses. Not sure how you cant talk about both. I own a small business that has dealt with tons of theft by well paid workers. I'm moreso saying we shouldn't just say well since it's a corp its ok

Sure we can talk both, but you have to acknowledge that he had to resort to whataboutism when the topic was big business. Small business is another matter. It's not cool to target small businesses. We're not saying it's ok to loot a corp(thought they do plenty of looting).

What we're pretty much are saying is who cares. This guy said it better. Didn't Walgreens just give a $25 million signing bonus to it's CEO?

the elusive robert danbe @_danbeReplying to @ZubyMusic @LyanneMelendez and 2 othersThis is “basically legal” everywhere in the sense that petty theft is a misdemeanor, corporations build inventory loss into their accounting and are insured, and the potential legal cost of someone getting hurt trying to prevent theft greatly outweighs cost of items stolen1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
I'm fine with saying who cares, but I'm against people basically implying it should be totally ignored. This is non news. I only originally commented because I saw a Zuby write something. I think if people are caught shoplifting it should always be prosecuted on the situation
