Just to add my own experience. I have broken and mangled many parts of my body. But none came close to a bacterial ear infection that affected my middle and inner ear. I couldn't sleep for about 2 weeks and even doubling my prescription medication didn't do a thing. Mega grim.

I just want to say WOW! I never expected this tweet to go off the scale like it has. It seems a lot of people have had some very similar issues and I have seen lots of you connect and show love and compassion for each other which is fabulous. You are all marvelous beings

Two dying nerves in two teeth after botched fillings. Pain lasted over two weeks. I got "referred pain" too, where your nerves get so buggered that the nerves nearby start feeling pain just out of sympathy. I had dying-tooth-nerve-pain in my head, neck, and shoulder! Yay.

Losing my son. It was a pain that transcended an emotional, mental AND physical pain. It was beyond anything, really. I’ve delivered 4 children, had a tonsillectomy and an appendectomy, all painful. Nothing, nothing compared to the loss of my son.

Vomiting after the epidural wore off after a c-section. I never realised how many stomach muscles were used when I puked.

Oh I sneezed 2 hours after my c section pain meds wore off and I couldn't speak for an hour afterward
