Critics didn’t care for Sonic Frontiers, I loved it, so much in fact I platinumed it. Regardless of what I read and hear about Forspoken, I’m gonna play it. Because I want to formulate my own opinion on it.

Video games are one of those mediums I feel people should experience for themselves. You can use a review to aid you in your decision but it shouldn’t be the end all be all when it comes to making that decision to play a game.

As the reviews for Forspoken roll in I want to say this. This game might be one of the most polarizing titles ever. As someone who reviews games I never tell gamers they shouldn’t play something even if I didn’t like it.

NFS: Unbound was surprisingly good even though everyone got their codes so late.
Does it mean the developer is not confident with the game ? Maybe. There’s a whole bunch of factors that could be at play here.
I’ll hold my judgement until I see some solid reviews and gameplay.

I’ll say this about this Forspoken drama, it is a red flag when codes are not handed out early or when outlets don’t get them (keep in mind they are not entitled to codes) but it doesn’t necessarily mean the game is bad.
NFS: Unbound code arrived a day before launch.
