Wow @TeamYouTube just shut down our @theh3podcast live stream and gave us a strike for talking about Alex Jones??... What.

Did this really happen??? I’m willing to give them benefit of the doubt on Censorship on AJ because he broke Community Guidelines that would get the rest of us booted... But this? This makes me reconsider my TRUST in them...

In a generalised way, I haven't trusted YouTube for a long while now. Some of the things they've done are highly illogical and have shown they're out of touch with the audience. You only have to take YouTube rewind during a time they should have been communicating instead.

The re-wind promotion felt like a distraction tactic for us to hopefully forget all the controversy surrounding YT at the time. It massively backfired on them and was a total cringe fest. What they SHOULD have done instead was upload a messege direct to the creator in that spot

They could have easily have put a video right there explaining to the creators and audience as a whole the situation, what was going on and explaining everything right at the very top of YT...but no.. we got a silly re-wind that no one asked for. wasted opportunity to communicate

It’s not that simple and never that simple I’m a large organization. There are so many moving parts. How many times has our audience said “why don’t you just”.., As if we didn’t think of that but couldn’t do it for reasons?

I mean I don't have much knowledge in web development in 2017, but instead of linking to a video of rewind, a video instead (even if temporarily) of "hey creators, we know things are confusing right now, here's what we're trying to do about it"...

Basically in a nutshell, I know there's a lot of moving parts and heirachy and logistics in business, but for those of us with no idea, it's easy to feel ignored and that the big wigs either aren't listening, or don't care. A lot of us have no idea, which is why

communication and education is so important. Again, creator insiders is a great step in the right direction. And I would have loved to have seen THAT in place of re-wind in an ideal world through rose tinted glasses
