Inspiring indeed! “the writing style of scientific papers inadvertently contributes to the problem of jargon abuse because it is designed to highlight and convey novelty... Summarizing a paper in your own words restructures the content to focus on learning rather than novelty.”

PhD student Archit Verma & I posted a semi-supervised method for manifold alignment. E.g., given disassociated cells with scRNA-seq & unpaired spatial transcriptomics mapped in a coordinate framework, we localize disassociated cells in the space. & confounder correction.

For 2020 I’m going vegan. Lots of little reasons why. Any advice, resources, brands, or recipes, twitter friends? And, after this Twitter week I guess I have to say that I’m asking for help & advice, not for you to question my decision nor to agree with it. Differences are good

It was an incredible year to take part in this working group led by David Glazer & Lawrence Tabak as well as Jessica Mazerik. I enjoyed working alongside and learning from other members: and numerous twitterless folks: 3/4
