I have friends who've literally been tricked into and trapped in situations where groups of Christians try to convert them. Stop acting like evangelists are ~polite~.

The amount of denial they have about the abusive methods utilized is impressive. Not surprising, but impressive.

Actually, many Christian sects deliberately train their evangelists in such as way as to alienate people so that they can push the Us versus Them agenda. Theoretically Christians are supposed to live the life, modeling behavior, be examples. Sadly, I don't see much of that.

They prosthelytize at concerts and Spring Break to normalize being alienated from the general public. When they go to college campuses or the funerals of celebrities, the goal is to be so offensive that they’re banned; then sue to make bank. That’s the Westboro Church model.

I’ve had letters from a group I grew up in eventhough my family have disowned me because I left.

I've found the best way to repel them is to quote Homer Simpson: "This isn't gonna be about Jesus, is it?" only amping up my natural nasal whine. Works like a charm.

Imma try this next time
