Abbreviated public subscriber counts are gradually rolling out starting next week. We heard a lot of feedback from the community following our announcement in May – we’ve updated our original post with more info here → https://yt.be/help/LF4J

You can't just change something that's been the same for 14 years. And you probably heard everyone saying "Don't change sub counts" and stuff like that. But you don't care. You just want to do what you do, without the public interfering with you're original plans.

Please don't abbreviate them. It hurts us, in a way, when we creators can't share our specific sub counts on live streams and stuff. And all those sub count live streams will be hurt. Especially
@SocialBlade. They will most likely die because of this. And I use the site everyday. -
So does
@pewdiepie or@shanedawson or someone else. They use it everyday to see their cool statistics AND live sub counts. If you take that away, no more happiness from looking at live sub counts. Then people might start quitting YouTube because of the change. This is stupid. -
Just please don't do this. Please don't abbreviate something that makes YouTube a part of what YouTube is. It's been like this for 14 years, and all of a sudden back in May, you wanted to abbreviate sub counts.
@pwnyygaming (YouTube Battles) and other live streams will die. -
Maybe some of them will change to live view counts. But that's not the same. Subs seem more important than views for big milestones. Hitting 10 million views isn't the same as hitting 10 million subs. In summary, just please don't abbreviate them. It will change everyone's lives.
