“This is an issue that requires serious thought, sober reflection and a rigorous assessment of the available evidence, and history shows that knee jerk and populist legislative responses rarely hold the answers” is the kind of thing a grown-up government might say.

She’s Priti useless!! Starting with her over use of the word “Counter Terrorism” (15 times she said it in a 2 min clip!!) Unless she invests money in the prison system to deal with radicalisation locking them up for longer isn’t really gonna solve the problem is it??

Do you know what would help is investing properly in the police (and know 20k rookie police will not replace the experience lost by Tory cuts). You can make all the laws you want but if there is no-one to enforce them they are pointless.
-
Not just the front line police either, you need prosecution services, judges, fully operating courts, prison guards and prisons, along with adequate support when people are released to stop them going though this again. 20,000 front line officers just sounds good

I'll take a punt and say that properly funding the CJS, increasing numbers and training of probation and prison staff, and legitimate, expert-lead efforts to combat radicalisation in prisons - including proper funding of rehabilitation programmes for all offenders - aren't incl.
-
Regrettably,
#LondonBridge showed just 3 months ago that de-radicalisation programmes cannot be relied on. - Još 1 odgovor
